A woman got a Taylor Swift-inspired tattoo… and then noticed an extremely awkward error.
Liz Corleone, 32, from Arkansas, wanted to get a meaningful ink design for her husband, Vito.
She became inspired by one of her favorite lyrics from Taylor’s song Guilty as Sin?, which reads, ‘What if he’s written “mine” on my upper thigh?’
She had Vito write the word ‘mine’ and got it tattooed onto her upper thigh last month – but after leaving the tattoo parlor, she discovered a devastating spelling mistake in the dainty new body art.
It turns out, the tattoo artist wrote ‘mime’ instead of ‘mine,’ leaving the Arkansas-native mortified.
She detailed the mishap in a video shared to Instagram that has now gone viral, raking in more than 68,000 likes.
‘Thinking we’re being cute with a Taylor Swift x romantic thigh tattoo,’ she wrote over a clip of her husband writing out the word ‘mine’ on a paper.
The video then cut to them in the tattoo shop picking the placement for her new tat.

Liz Corleone, 32, from Arkansas, wanted to get a meaningful ink design for her husband, Vito

She became inspired by one of her favorite lyrics from Taylor’s song Guilty as Sin?, which reads, ‘What if he’s written “mine” on my upper thigh?’
The artist was also seen holding the stencil over her thigh, which clearly said ‘mine.’
But she then showed the final result, and indeed said ‘mime.’
‘”Mime” what the f**k??’ she wrote.
Liz seemed to be making the most of the situation as she added in the caption, ‘Friendship and Taylor Swift tattoo fails to kick off the summer.
‘Don’t worry, I’m 1,000 percent laughing about this and love it just the same – my mom said maybe it’s cursive.’
While speaking to the Daily Mail about it, Liz explained, ‘My husband and I had been thinking about getting tattoos in each other’s handwriting for a bit.
‘I know the song Guilty as Sin? by Taylor Swift isn’t necessarily a love song about your one and only, but the lyrics “what if he’s written mine on my upper thigh…” felt cheeky and the imagery has a little sex appeal.’

Liz said she didn’t notice the mistake until they were driving away from the tattoo shop.
‘I was so confident in the stencil I didn’t even think to check! Plus, my husband and I were running late to dinner, so we got bandaged up and hopped straight in our car,’ she recalled.
‘I was looking back at the video I took when I noticed the cursive and thought, “Does that say Mime?”‘
She said she doesn’t believe the artist intentionally messed up the ink design.
‘We had awesome conversation and they are genuinely a great person! Do I wish they followed the stencil more closely? Yes,’ she added.
In the end, she said she has no plans to get it fixed and has learned to embrace the mistake.
‘I consider myself to be someone who takes things in stride, so after I noticed the mistake and the shock wore off, I decided to roll with it,’ she told the Daily Mail.
‘The placement isn’t super noticeable other than when I’m in a swimsuit, and honestly – it’s a conversation starter now.
‘I just have to laugh, joke about making lemonade out of lemons, and think, “At least it was me and not someone who would be more upset!”
‘When I look at it, the tattoo makes me laugh and now my husband has even started to call me “Mime.”
‘Was it what I asked for? Nope! But it makes me smile and reminds me not to take life too seriously.
‘It has been a funny conversation starter and it makes me laugh. There are plenty of other things to be disgruntled about other than a tattoo fail, so I’m not letting it bother me.’
