Taylor Alert – Why Taylor Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce STILL haven’t moved in together despite their engagement

They shocked their fans by revealing their engagement on Tuesday.

But Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s fans might be shocked again to discover that the pop superstar and her fiancé aren’t even living under one roof.

Sources told TMZ that Taylor and Travis, both 35, still haven’t bothered to move in together and are maintaining separate residences even after they shared photos from their romantic engagement photoshoot.

According to the sources, it’s mainly due to difficult logistics that the massively popular couple haven’t combined their physical lives.

Taylor — who made her first post-engagement appearance with Travis at a college football game in Kansas City, Missouri, on Thursday — is infamous for how often she travels in her private jet, while Travis is also regularly on the move, especially when he has to travel for games during the NFL season.

The Eras Tour artist is also famous for owning homes across the US — and even abroad.

In recent years she has tended to spend more of her time at her enormous penthouse in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood — which was originally two neighboring apartments that she combined.

However, her vast real estate holdings also include homes in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as Beverly Hills and Rhode Island.

She signaled earlier this year that her connection with her Rhode Island home was still strong after she submitted plans for a $1.7 million expansion and renovation of the property.

Swift also spent significant time in the UK earlier this decade during her relationship with the actor Joe Alwyn.

In 2021, the former couple moved into a £7 million ($9.4 million) six-bedroom townhouse in the North London, which Swift was said to be renting.

Meanwhile, Travis’ more modest holdings include a mansion in Leawood, Kansas, which is near his team’s hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.

He also is the co-owner, with his brother Jason Kelce and his mother Donna, of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in Orlando, Florida.

Although the two certainly spend plenty of time at each others’ homes, the two haven’t completely combined their belongings.

However, they left fans thinking that it was only a matter of time when they were spotted earlier in August on an apparent house-hunting trip in Cleveland, Ohio, where Travis was raised nearby in the suburb of Cleveland Heights.

Sources said that it’s still a goal for Taylor and Travis to share a home together, but it’s not a priority for the newly engaged couple at this moment.

Their fans got a chance to see them up close for the first time after their engagement when they stepped out as a couple to take in a college football game in Kansas City on Thursday.

The 14-time Grammy Award winner made her long-awaited return to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night with her fiancé and his older brother, 37-year-old Jason.

For the televised game between the University of Cincinnati, which is Travis’ alma mater, and the University of Nebraska, Swift rocked a chic outfit complete with a blue pleated miniskirt and cream sweater vest.

The superstar — who made an eerie marriage prediction over a decade ago — was later filmed sipping on a drink in the stands.

As she put the drink to her mouth, the Love Story hitmaker made sure her diamond ring — which reportedly cost Travis between $700,000 and $1,000,000 — was in full view.

Swift’s fans went wild over the display, with one joking that her ring is ‘so shiny it might blind [the] players.’

The outing comes just days after Swift and Kelce confirmed their long-awaited engagement by sharing a joint Instagram post.

The post included a photo-shoot of the couple in the backyard of Kelce’s $6million Leawood, Kansas mansion, surrounded by pretty floral arrangements and lush greenery.

The announcement was captioned: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,’ followed by a dynamite emoji — a possible reference to Swift and Kelce’s ‘TnT’ nickname.

It was also set to the ballad So High School, which is about Taylor’s enduring love for Travis. 

While they publicly announced their engagement on Tuesday, Daily Mail confirmed that Travis actually popped the question earlier this month.

The couple were seated next to one another inside Arrowhead Stadium, home of Travis’ team the Kansas City Chiefs, with Jason sitting to Swift’s left.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s soon-to-be husband — who spent time down on the field with Jason ahead of the game — stood out in their VIP seats by wearing an eye-catching red and white outfit.

He had on a striped polo shirt, which he styled with a custom baseball cap featuring red graffiti-style lettering.

Fans got a huge kick out of watching the couple enjoy the game as they flocked to social media to share their thoughts.

But the talk of X (formerly Twitter) was Swift’s diamond engagement ring.

Many remarked how ‘huge’ and ‘shiny’ it is while others were left virtually speechless as they used emojis to react to footage of Swift showing off her ring mid-game.

Swift’s ring is an Old Mine Brilliant Cut and appears to be from Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry. It is worth an estimated $700,000 to $1 million.

Since that day their romance has captivated the world, with Taylor supporting Travis’ run to two Super Bowls while the NFL star has traveled alongside her around the globe on her wildly successful Eras Tour.

The sports star’s close friend Patrick Mahomes was quick to congratulate the couple, sharing Swift’s post on Instagram with three heart emojis just moments after the announcement.

Swift’s longtime pals, supermodel Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Cara Delevingne were also quick to like the couple’s joint post, showing support from her girl squad.

For their engagement shoot, the A-list couple posed together in matching Ralph Lauren outfits. 

Taylor wore a $400 striped silk-blend dress by Ralph Lauren for her proposal, which featured a ruched top and halter neckline.

She tied her simple look together with one of her favorite jewelry pieces, which was a gold Santos Demoiselle Watch by Cartier.

The watch costs $18,330, according to the Taylor Swift Styled Instagram page.

The outing comes just days after Swift and Kelce confirmed their long-awaited engagement by sharing a joint Instagram post. Swift also revealed her mammoth diamond ring in the engagement shoot 

 

The post included a photo-shoot of the couple in the backyard of Kelce’s $6million Leawood, Kansas mansion, surrounded by pretty floral arrangements and lush greenery 

Prior to Travis, Taylor was in a six-year romance with actor Joe Alwyn, 34, which ended in April 2023. She then briefly dated The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, 36. 

The engagement news comes almost two weeks after Taylor announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights.

In her most candid chat ever, Swift admitted she thought Travis was ‘crazy’ for asking her out so publicly. 

The sportsman famously spoke on his podcast about attending one of Taylor’s concerts in July 2023 and being disappointed when they couldn’t meet, revealing he’d even brought a friendship bracelet to give to her.

She compared Travis to a John Hughes movie character, joking he was outside her window with a boombox yelling: ‘I wanna date you! Do you wanna go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet. Do you wanna date me?’ 

Taylor said: ‘I was like, if this guy isn’t crazy — which is a big if — this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.’ 

Travis’ brother Jason went on to ask the Fearless hitmaker: ‘How did you know he wasn’t crazy?’ to which she replied: ‘He is crazy, Jason. He’s the good kind of crazy.’

Even President Donald Trump had warm wishes for the couple, telling reporters during a cabinet meeting at the White House:  ‘Well I wish them a lot of luck. I think he’s a great player and a great guy and I think she’s a terrific person so I wish them a lot of luck.’

While they confirmed their engagement on Tuesday of this week, Travis actually proposed to Taylor on August 10, according to his dad Ed Kelce 

Taylor and Travis’ love story kicked off in September 2023; seen in January 

While Taylor and Travis haven’t spoken out since dropping their surprise engagement post, the NFL star’s father Ed Kelce dished on all the details surrounding the proposal on Tuesday.

Shortly after the couple’s announcement went live, Ed revealed to ABC News 5 Cleveland that Travis actually proposed to Taylor on August 10, 2025 while in Lee’s Summit, Missouri with the singer.

‘He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,’ the proud dad shared.

Ed claimed Taylor was getting ‘a little antsy’ before Travis got down on one knee.

‘He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,’ he claimed.

‘And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.’

After Taylor said yes, Ed said that the couple reached out him and the rest of the Kelce and Swift family to reveal the happy news.

‘They started FaceTiming me and their mother [Donna Kelce] and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great,’ he recalled.

‘I got a FaceTime call from them, and as soon as I saw the FaceTime, I saw it was Travis, and then I saw Taylor there with him, I knew what they were going to say, and they, you know, let us know.’
