Travis Kelce chose to marry Katy Perry over his wife-to-be Taylor Swift in a resurfaced interview from almost a decade ago.
In 2016, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, appeared to favor pop princess Katy, 40, over his 14-time Grammy Award-winning fiancée, also 35.
Little did he know that he would end up proposing to Taylor nine years later in his home garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
In the clip, which was from an interview with AfterBuzz TV, sport star Travis played a game of ‘Kiss, Marry, Kill’ and was faced with the tough choice between Taylor, Katy and Ariana Grande.
Reluctantly, Travis chose to kill Ariana. He then ultimately opted for a mere peck with his now bride-to-be Taylor, and chose to marry California Girls singer, Katy.
‘Damn, that’s messed up. I don’t wanna kill any of them,’ he said at the top of the game.
‘Kill Ariana, unfortunately,’ he continued. ‘Love you, but you’re gone.’
Without missing a beat, Travis added: ‘Taylor to kiss and… what was the last one? Katy Perry would be to marry.’

Fans have been going wild over the clip since it was announced Travis proposed to Taylor.
Taking to social media, one commented: ‘He been in love with her for so long. He [was] manifesting.’
‘PLAY THIS AT THE WEDDING,’ another demanded.
‘He knew he wanted to kiss Taylor for sure but didn’t even remember the third option,’ someone else observed.
It’s no secret that Katy and Taylor had a rather nasty falling out, with the latter even penning her 2015 song Bad Blood about their dispute – which began when Katy apparently tried to hire a bunch of Taylor’s backup dancers and ‘sabotage an entire arena tour.’
However, the two former frenemies appear to have put their previous feud behind them.
In January, Katy gushed about Taylor’s concert in Sydney, and their interaction there, revealing: ‘I got to see her and we got to catch up and I love her so much.’
Meanwhile, Travis and Taylor announced their engagement last week in a joint Instagram upload, two weeks after a secret proposal.

The pop icon and the NFL star, who have been dating for two years, revealed their marriage news with a romantic engagement photoshoot which showed Travis proposing in a rose garden.
The announcement was captioned: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,’ followed by a dynamite emoji — a possible reference to Taylor and Travis’s’TnT’ nickname.
Their fans got a chance to see them up close for the first time after their engagement when they stepped out as a couple to take in a college football game in Kansas City on August 28.
Taylor showed off her massive engagement ring when she was spotted in a zoomed-in closeup on television.
As she put a drink to her mouth, the Love Story hitmaker made sure her diamond ring — which reportedly cost Travis between $700,000 and $1,000,000 — was in full view.
