Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did not keep the news of their engagement under wraps for long.
The celebrity couple put out the word that they were set to exchange vows ‘right after it happened,’ an insider told People on Thursday.
‘Everyone’s just excited’ about the highly-anticipated up nuptials between the Grammy-winning songstress, 35, and three-time Super Bowl champ, 35, the source said.
The couple’s inner circle of friends ‘are thrilled for them, and a lot of them found out about the engagement right after it happened,’ the insider told the outlet.
The source added that ‘keeping it quiet wasn’t easy but now that it’s out, everyone’s just excited.’
Swift was seen spending time with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, in an Instagram post Brittany shared Thursday.

‘The GROUP,’ Brittany said as she was flanked by friends in Nashville, including the Shake It Off songstress, amid her recent 30th birthday celebration.
Brittany added she was ‘so incredibly honored to have the most joyful friends.’

Kelce and Swift revealed they were getting engaged with an August 26 Instagram post that showcased five pictures of them in a romantic setting.
‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,’ the duo captioned the viral post.
They added an emoji of a dynamite stick in a nod to their TNT moniker.
‘Right now they just want to enjoy being engaged, and they are going to take their time with it,’ an insider previously told the magazine of the engagement. ‘It has been a relief not having to keep it a secret anymore and they are glad it is out in the open.
‘Both families are overjoyed. There were toasts, happy tears and everyone is thrilled for them. Friends have been stopping by and sending little gifts. It has all been intimate, nothing over the top.’

Kelce presented Swift with an old mine brilliant-cut diamond from Kindred Lubeck for her engagement ring, her publicist Tree Paine confirmed.
Kelce on his New Heights podcast Wednesday said that he’s familiar with the wedding planning process, as his brother Jason added, ‘Oh, it’s gonna go crazy.’
Travis said, ‘That is the next step, yeah, I’ve heard about that.’
Jason, who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles, chat about potentially being anointed the best man on his podcast, Bussin’ with the Boys.
‘Hopefully, I’m the best man – we’ll see,’ Jason said. ‘Trav has a lot of friends, I’m just hoping to get the opportunity.’
After revealing the engagement, the 10-time Pro Bowl tight end was back at practice in Kansas City, Missouri preparing for the Chiefs season, which kicks off Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Kelce and Swift emerged as a couple less than two years ago. Swift was on hand to watch Kelce in his September 24, 2023 game against the Chicago Bears, sitting in a luxury box alongside his mother Donna.
