Courtney Love has never held back when it comes to letting her opinions be known  – no matter how controversial they may be – and the songstress isn’t about to start keeping her shockingly critical opinions to herself any time soon.

The 59-year-old Doll Parts vocalist’s bitter attitude has been at the center of headlines recently after she took aim at Taylor Swift and claimed the Cruel Summer hitmaker was ‘not interesting’ nor ‘important’ as a musician.

But the 34-year-old popstar isn’t the only one who has faced Courtney’s wrath as the Hole singer has enough critiques for every A-lister in Hollywood to go around.

Courtney has also previously dished out scathing reviews of the music industry’s biggest names – slamming Beyonce, Lana Del Ray, Madonna, and Dave Grohl, who was ex-husband Kurt Cobain’s Nirvana bandmate.

While speaking to the Evening Standard, the 59-year-old let her feelings about Taylor be known – making it very clear that she wouldn’t be becoming a Swiftie anytime soon.

Courtney said: ‘Taylor is not important. She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.’

The criticism of the popstar – who has been engulfed in a whirlwind romance with Kansas City Chiefs NFL star Travis Kelce and was recently seen at Coachella with her athlete boyfriend – came as a surprise to many because the Hole songstress had previously praised Taylor.

It seems that Courtney now has bad blood with the Shake it Off singer, who she publicly gushed about as a ‘lovely’ woman in a 2016 in a Facebook post.

In a February 29, 2016 post, she posed between Taylor and Royals songstress Lorde, 27, after attending the Grammys in Los Angeles. ‘Lovely ladies @taylorswift @lordemusic these two win the Oscar for art, talent, voice and astonishing beauty, hands down! #oscars #vanityfair,’ Courtney said in the caption.

In 2021, the 59-year-old once again waxed lyrical about Taylor and even branded her an ‘aspirational huge role model for many young women.’

But, it seems that her love for Taylor has died down in the last three years as she now is taking shots at her instead of applauding her, and her disdain for the popstar saw her at the receiving end of furious backlash from die-hard Swifties who will do or say anything to show their support for the Bad Blood hitmaker.

Following her sharp disapproval of Taylor, FEMAIL has lifted the lid on all of the other stars that have fallen victim to her sharp tongue.

From friends to haters! Courtney once said Lana was a ‘true friend,’ now she says she has ‘too much influence’

Lana Del Ray is another female musician who has faced Courtney’s ire.

Courtney opened up about her dislike for the Summertime Sadness singer, 38, in the same interview in which she slammed Taylor.

The Hole frontwoman revealed that while she once loved Lana, she has since changed her tune.

She admitted that the 38-year-old singer had ‘too much’ of an influence on her as she suggested Lana leave the music industry.

Courtney said: ‘I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song, and I think she should really take seven years off. Up until Take Me Home Country Roads I thought she was great.

‘When I was recording my new album, I had to stop listening to her as she was influencing me too much.’

And while Courtney no longer approves of Lana, the pair used to be great pals.  In the summer of 2015, Courtney even joined Lana on her Endless Summer Tour as the opening act for the first seven shows.

Two years earlier, during an interview with Dazed and Confused, Lana and Courtney repeatedly praised each other.

In 2022, Courtney even branded Lana an ‘actual true, great friend’ before noting that she was one of the few musical geniuses.

In an interview with Stereogum, she said: ‘Lana and Kurt are the only two true musical geniuses I’ve ever known.

‘She’s a genius, too. She’s got the integrity that Kurt had. The only two people I know that I can say… By the way, Stipe? Bono? Yes, these are people that I know and love. Billie Joe, sure. But Lana? She’s got a magic thing. And she’s not even f***ed up!’

However, it seems like that friendship is long over after Courtney suggested Lana take a hiatus from music.

‘I just don’t like her music’: Courtney took shots at Beyonce’s country album

Turning her focus on Beyonce, Courtney shared her thoughts on the 42-year-old’s music.

She specifically shared her opinions on Beyonce’s new country era and her album Cowboy Carter.

The 59-year-old admitted that while she ‘loves’ the concept of black women taking over country music, she doesn’t like the Texas Hold ‘Em hitmaker’s approach to it.

While hinting towards Beyonce, she claims that ‘every successful woman is cloned.’

She dissed the women in the music industry who have made a name for themselves as ‘all the same.’

Courtney told the Evening Standard: ‘Now, every successful woman is cloned, so there is just too much music.

‘They’re all the same. If you play something on Spotify, you get bombarded with a lot of stuff that’s exactly the same.

‘I mean, I like the idea of Beyoncé doing a country record because it’s about black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much.

‘As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music.’

No chance of being friends! Madonna and Courtney have been feuding since 1995 and ‘don’t like’ each other

When it came time to speak about the 65-year-old songstress, the Hole singer kept her opinion about her short, but it definitely wasn’t sweet.

Courtney said: ‘I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me. I loved Desperately Seeking Susan, but for the city of New York as much as her.’

It’s unclear as to when the feud between the two singers began, however many fans point to a 1995 MTV interview being the first point of contention for the music stars.

Madonna was being interviewed by MTV host Kurt Loder when a slew of compact mirrors were thrown at them.

The mirrors had been thrown by Courtney and Kurt invited her to come up and chat with the both of them, much to Madonna’s dismay.

As the 59-year-old made her way up the stairs, the Material Girl hitmaker said: ‘Courtney Love is in dire need of attention right now.’

At one point during the conversation, Courtney compared working in a hospital to dating an EMT, to which Madonna replied: ‘I think you should get out of the hospital.’

‘No man, I like it in here. Nice clothes, good money,’ Courtney responded.

Madonna clapped back: ‘And a lot of available drugs.’

The two were photographed hugging two years later.

‘[I] hate him’: Courtney and Nirvana drummer Dave had falling out after Kurt’s death in 1994

Courtney has also previously spoken out against Nirvana drummer Dave, who she has an ugly 14-year feud with.

In 1992, Courtney married Nirvana front man Kurt. Despite being branded the It couple in the ’90s, the Hole vocalist said marrying the lead singer ‘created a mythology around me that I didn’t expect for myself.’

She added: ‘I became seen in a certain light – a vilified light that made Yoko Ono look like Pollyanna – and I couldn’t stop it.’

Dave was one of the eight people who attended the couple’s wedding and even posed for snaps alongside Courtney.

However, when Kurt died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1994, the once-friendly relationship between Dave and Courtney quickly soured.

Their feud officially began five years after Kurt’s death in 1999 when Dave brought up Courtney’s songwriting abilities during an interview with Howard Stern.

Then, Courtney hit back at him and said she ‘hated’ him, adding, ‘That stupid motherf***er. He knows exactly what I wrote, he knows exactly the input I had on [Nirvana’s] third album. Kurt came [to the studio] to play with [Hole] more than he did with Nirvana because he liked us better.’

In the years following the interview, their hatred for each other only grew and Dave branded Courtney ‘irrational, mercurial, self-centered, unmanageable, inconsistent and unpredictable’ when she tried to block the release of You Know You Were Right, a song recorded just months before Kurt’s death.

Courtney continued their public dispute on Twitter by branding Dave a ‘bad seed’ before accusing him of hitting on her then-19-year-old daughter Frances, which he has repeatedly denied.

The Hole vocalist wrote: ‘Him I am about to shoot, dead.’ Frances, who filed a restraining order against her mom in 2009, denied these claims.

She said: ‘Her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy. […] Twitter should ban my mother.’

In 2021, Courtney once again brought their feud front and canter in a post that has since been deleted and accused Dave of ‘gorging on Kurt’s fortune and Kurt’s goodwill.’

Courtney, who was married to Kurt Cobain from 1992 until his 1994 death, invoked the name of the late Nirvana front man.

‘People used to say that I was so difficult,’ Love told the outlet. ‘They said I was disagreeable. Yes, I am completely disagreeable and I’m never going to apologize for that. I always wanted to be known as a b****. Being liked was never my thing.

‘Kurt wanted to be liked but not me. He was able to hide behind me, but then I got hated. Then Kurt died, and the hatred towards me reached a completely new level. I did not plan for that.’

She cited Bob Dylan and the 1967 documentary about his 1965 English tour, Don’t Look Back.

‘I had a b**** capacity and I was cool with not being liked,’ she said.

‘I saw Bob Dylan in Don’t Look Back and he didn’t want to be liked and I thought, yeah, I want to be like that.’
